Make sure the people whose work impressed you are the ones who will turn up. Ask about the team and their experience with projects like yours.

3. How do you handle sensitive or field situations?

For humanitarian, medical, or community work, ethics and consent matter enormously. A good company will have clear, respectful practices.

4. What exactly will I receive, and when?

Clarify deliverables, formats, revisions, and timelines in writing before you begin, so there are no surprises.

5. Do you understand my audience?

A film for donors is different from a film for customers. The company should be thinking about who will watch and what you want them to do.
